Would you like to join millions of people around the world and watch Cable TV on pc? Well now you can. Stop shelling out hundreds of dollars per month on expensive sky and cable but instead watch it live from your laptop or PC. This guide reveals how to watch cable TV on pc or your laptop so that you never miss your favourite movies, television shows and sports again.

There are two ways that you can watch cable TV on pc. There is the free option via streaming websites and there is the software option. This article will look at both.

Certain sites online allow you to watch cable TV streaming from their websites. They are not hard to find (all you have to do is make a search on Google or Yahoo). The obvious advantage of such sites is that they are free and there is no download or installation necessary. However the problem with a lot of these sites is that they are illegal. They don’t have the right to broadcast a lot of their content and users are now getting into trouble for viewing. Furthermore when large numbers of people watch the same stream, there is often a lag and the quality can be very poor. I started off watching cable TV on pc this way but soon got very frustrated and decided to check out the software alternative.

TV for PC software programs are simply software programs that you download and install and then you have access to a certain number of channels (usually between 3000-6000) from all over the world. The channels that are available include movies, music, LIVE games, news, educational, kid’s channels and radio stations.

The catch is that they do cost a bit of money and you have to install it on your computer. However the cost is very minimal (especially when you consider how much traditional sky and cable companies charge) and it is normally very easy to download and install the software. In fact even someone who knows very little about computers could be watching their favourite shows within 30 minutes or less.

To watch Cable TV on PC via the software option requires your computer to have a few basic necessities: At least a Pentium 3 with a processing speed faster than 333 MHz, a graphics card, sound card and a fairly good monitor.
OK, so those are the two ways that you can watch Cable TV on PC or your laptop. My recommendation after using both is to go with an authorized and well trusted software program. The free streaming sites may look attractive but they often lead to problems later.
